Managing Director
Fergie is the Managing Director of ECM and is based in São Paulo. He brings more than 30 years of experience advising, investing in, and operating across Latin America, with a particular focus on energy, natural resources, infrastructure, and complex, capital-intensive industries.
Throughout his career, Mr. Fergie has led and supported major transformational initiatives for governments and multinational corporations, including operational improvement programs, privatizations, restructurings, and large-scale strategic transformations.
He spent nearly three decades at McKinsey & Company, where he played a central role in building the firm's Latin American platform. During his tenure, he led the Media & Telecommunications and Private Equity practices in the region and worked extensively with leading global investors and portfolio companies. He left the firm as a Director Emeritus.
Prior to joining ECM, Mr. Fergie led KKR's investment activities in Latin America. In this role, he partnered closely with portfolio company management teams to identify, design, and implement value-creation initiatives, with a strong emphasis on operational excellence and strategic execution.
Fergie holds an M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University.
